This is the Mayhem Midge from a designer in cahoots with Solitude Fly Company. A guide buddy of mine swore by this pattern and finally convinced me to try it. The cool part about this pattern is that it can pass as a midge or a mayfly! Especially with the size range that you can tie them in and the color combinations. At any rate, this fly does work extremely well. I think the color contrast of the foam and the body really makes it stand out to the fish and really triggers them to want to eat it. I'm no scientist but all that matters is the fish like it. Give this one a drift during your mayfly or midge hatch and watch the magic happen. I fish this fly as a nymph dead drifted close to the bottom of the river bed.
