Since returning to my home state of Pennsylvania, I have gained a lot of respect for this little fly. I've always turned my nose up to it. It simply did not appeal to me. I think many of you can relate when it comes to fly selection. We all have our bug choices and we fish what we know works for us. I was very surprised how effective this bug is. No flash, no tail and no hotspot. Simply a bead, hares ear dubbin and mono to counter rib the fly so it stays together. And that it does. I fish this a lot on Spring Creek here in Central PA. Give it a go on your favorite water. Especially for those pressured fish.
